Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

3 months of travel experience is preferred from any number of months.

Must have at least 36 months of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience.

3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Vaccinations

Additional Details:

An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.

RRT - PICU/NICU - Required

Required Skills/Experience: 3-5 years Peds critical care or NICU.

Must be able to function on PICU and Level IV NICU.

PICU Experience

Vents-Servo I and Servo u, LTV's, Astral and Trilogy, Oscillators, Trach patients, knowledge of invasive and non-invasive ventilation, CPAP, BiPaP, RAM cannula, NAVA ventilation, PEP, INO

Required Credentials: Education: Associate Degree or Certificate

Types of Patients on Unit: Manage respiratory care patients, vent management, intubations, extubations, suctioning, treatments.

Unit/Facility Details: 24 bed peds cardiac ICU, 24 beds peds medical ICU, 24 beds peds surgical ICU, 70 bed level IV NICU

2-3 RCP's in each of PICU, 3-4 RCP's in NICU depending on census.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend, occasionally every 3rd

Floating Requirements: Primarily PICU and NICU, but may need to float to general med/surg acute care units, EDTC.
