Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Intensive Care Unit experience.

Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Illinois license

Additional Details:

BJC policy: Every other weekend required.

RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe.

No medical marijuana cards accepted.

Shift & Scheduling: Holidays as needed

Unit Details: Avg. Daily Census 8, Beds: 12

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Complex medical and surgical patients requiring intensive care, stroke only, cardiac (cardiovert, pacemaker) no open heart high population of overdose

Types of Patients on Unit: Adults and Geriatrics

Floating Requirements: To MS/Tele, medical, surgical unit, intermediate care

Required Skills/Experience: Vents, IV Start, Telemetry

Parking: free

Previous Employment Requirements: Permanent employees at must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler.

All Standard Travelers (reside outside of a 75 mile radius) can stay for an 18 month period. Must take a 3 month break after 18 months.
