Travel Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Could accept less than 2 years with high acuity first year.
• Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Care of Ventilated Patient, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Ventilator Management, Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), Continuous IV sedation, Emergency Medications, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips, Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Phlebotomy, Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Starting and maintaining IVs*, Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal*, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Continuous IV paralytics/Neuromuscular blockade, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring*, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), ECMO, Impella*, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Post Cardiac Surgery (directly from the OR), Post Cardiac Surgery (Not directly from the OR), Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, Valve Repair/Replacement*, Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD), CVA/Acute Stroke management, Lumbar drains*, CVVHD/CRRT*, IV insulin protocols*.

Required Credentials: Candidate must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.

Special Requests:

• You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
• Pre-Approved Time Off: 2 Requests.
• RTO must be on the submittal and cannot be changed once the profile has been sent to the manager for review. Please ensure all RTO is for the full 13 weeks for each submittal
• No RTO the first two weeks of an assignment.

Shift & Scheduling:

• 3x12 or 4x12 D/N rotating 0700-1930 & 1900-0730
• Open to 3x12 or 4x12 contract.
• Every other weekend required.
• Holidays as needed
• Number of Weekend Shifts Per Contract: 3-5.

Floating Requirements: Float to ICU and IMC required.
