Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required from any number of months.

12 months of Psychiatric Unit experience is required from any number of months.

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a New York license

Additional Details:

Inpatient Psych - Behavioral Health

Canadian Candidates: Required to have a US SSN to apply.

Cannot have any hits/suspensions on the license needed for the job.

Holidays and every other weekend are expected

Cannot approve weekends off without coverage found unless previously specified within RDO

Blocked scheduling must be previously agreed upon

Will be trained to charge nurse responsibility

There is a possibility of floating to like unit within our hospital (ARU- Inpatient Addiction Rehab Unit).

Uniform is Navy blue scrubs for RNs.

Patient population is acute psychosis presentations - depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, suicidal, homicidal, dual diagnosis.

We do not offer seclusion, restraints are a last resort when all other de-escalation techniques have failed.
