Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit experience.
3 months of experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Required Skills/Experience: At least 2 years of experience in Level 3 or 4 NICU

Required Skills: IV therapy, Administration of blood & blood products, Central line blood draw, Central Line/Implanted Line Care, Starting and maintaining IVs, UAC (Umbilical Artery Catheter), UVC (Umbilical Vein Catheter), Medications/Emergency Medications, Anti-Seizure Medications, Antibiotics/Antivirals, Neonatal Dosage Calculations, Steroids, Surfactants, Developmental Care, Patient/family teaching, Phlebotomy, Thermoregulation, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, Seizure disorders, Blood glucose monitoring, Hyperbilirubinemia, Phototherapy, Breastfeeding Support/Handling of Breast Milk, Colostomy/Ileostomy care, Feedings (bottle, breast, gavage), Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC), Placement/Management of oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes, Bubble CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), High Frequency Ventilation, Management of Chest Tubes, Meconium Aspiration, Oxygen Delivery Systems, Respiratory distress syndrome, Suctioning (ETT, NT), Ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Isolation Precautions, Neonatal Sepsis, Sepsis Work Up

Preferred Skills: Arterial line management, Conscious Sedation, IV vasopressors, APGAR scoring, Assist with lumbar puncture, Intracranial Pressure Monitoring, Therapeutic hypothermia (cooling blanket), Ventricular Peritoneal (VP) Shunts, Insulin administration, Gastroschisis/Omphalocele, Post Abdominal Surgery, Nitric Oxide (INo), Tracheostomy care/management, Dysrhythmia Interpretation/Management, Invasive Hemodynamic monitoring

Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching Hospital Experience
