• IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Administration of blood & blood products, Drawing Venous Blood, Starting and maintaining IVs, Use of infusion pumps / drips / IV monitoring, Work Settings, Antepartum, Labor & Delivery, LDRP, Medication & Administration, Antihypertensives, Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin (oxytocin), Terbutaline, Neonatal Care in Delivery Room, APGAR scores, Baby Nurse (“Baby Catcher”), ID/Security Banding, Radiant Warmers/Thermoregulation, Labor and Delivery Management, Assist with high risk delivery, Assist with vaginal delivery, Circulate for C-section, Recover C-Section, Sterile vaginal exam, Antepartum Care and Procedures, Assist with sterile speculum exam (effacement, dilation, station, presentation), NST (Non Stress Tests), Reflex checks / edema assessment / clonus, Sterile vaginal exam, Triage of obstetrical patients, Use of EFM (External Fetal Heart Monitoring), Postpartum Care and Procedures, Breastfeeding Support/lactation support, Foley catheter insertion/management, Fundus / lochia / perineum care, Postpartum Care of the Patient with, Cesarean Section, Multiple Births, Postpartum Hemorrhage, Pregnancy induced hypertension, Vaginal Delivery, Pain Management, Epidural Anesthesia, General Anesthesia, Pain assessment & management, Use of PCA (IV), Newborn Care, Infant Identification, Professional Topics and Skills, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Vaccine Administration, Fetal Monitoring, Recognition and Treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, Use of External Fetal Monitoring, Use of Internal Fetal Monitoring, Use of IUPC (Intrauterine pressure catheter) placement and calibration, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Care

Preferred Skills/Experience: Facility births/month 200-300, High Risk Antepartum, Insulin drips, Forceps/vacuum extraction, Hemorrhage/shock, Telemetry Interpretation

Required Credentials:

• An on-site drug screen will be conducted with the following panels: Amphetamine, Barbiturate, Benzodiazepine, Cocaine, Meth, Methadone, Opiates, Oxycodone, PCP, Marijuana, and Buprenorphine. Failure will result in a cancelation or assignment.

• Drivers License/State ID: Government Issued Photo ID

Unit/Facility Details: Tdap declinations are not accepted at Midland Memorial Hospital.

Special Requests:

• RTO required with submission, expect to work some holidays

• You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Floating Requirements: RN will rotate through triage, antepartum, labor, circulate, transition (no post-partum)
