Travel Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit

Required Skills/Experience: Must have 1 years PEDS CV & 1 year Adult CV or 2+ years PEDS/Adult CV.

Special Requests: Need flexibility on holidays (Christmas/NYE/Day) - must be willing to work Xmas eve and/or day or NYE and/or day

Unit Details: Arkansas Children’s Hospital is a 359 bed, trauma 1, teaching hospital

**Floating Requirements:**Floating is required within the ICU cluster (NICU, PICU, Burn PICU). Travelers are first to float.

Nurse/Patient Ratios: 1:1 for ICU, 1:2-3 for Intermediate Ancillary Assistance: CNA/PCT – Yes. 2 PCTS per shift.

Shift & Scheduling: Schedule is manager/scheduler driven and every other weekend is required. No on call Holidays are required, as needed. No Self Scheduling.

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Patient population (diagnoses): All congenital heart defects, heart failure, cardiac transplant, dysrhythmias, CRRT (not usually assigned to travelers), PD, etc. Unit will soon have VAD and Impella. No balloon pumps in the unit. Unit uses intracardiac lines.

Types of Patients on Unit: Age range is neonatal to adult.

Equipment Used on Unit: Equipment: Pyxis with bar code scanning, pharmacy dose, GE, Servo and ECMO. Transport system in house RTs manage ventilators
