Experience
24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
24 months of Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.
References

An interview may not be available prior to offer.

Shift starts 6:45. Self-scheduling is used, but is not finalized until Manager balances it. Schedules are out 4 weeks.

Guaranteed Hours: 36

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Holidays: Rotate in with core staff.

Floating: All other Sacramento facilities. Mid-shift float to another facility is rare, but can happen. Travelers float first.

Need 2 sup refs (charge accepted) at submittal; 1 w/in 12 mo. & 1 w/in 3 years worked.

Only considering 6/24 or 7/8 start.

Must have open heart experience, Impella, and balloon pumps.

Prior to acceptance, the Dys exam through UNA is required along with the acceptance. Must be completed within 24-48 hours. It's pass or fail and they get 2 attempts (Test A should be assigned first, Test B should be assigned for retake). A screenshor showing the number of attempts is required. We can accept the Relias Dys exam within the last 12 months if the traveler has previously taken.

Unit RICU (Medical ICU)/CSICI - will float between the two units and cardiac experience is a must.

Care of immediate post op cardiac surgery experience preferred. 2 years in Cardiac ICU.

Common diagnosis / Types of patients AMI, AVR, MVR, resp failure, renal failure, IABP, CRRT, Empella, therapeutic hypothermia. Chest tube insertion, intubation, and emergency sternotomies are common procedures.

Additional Notes: Will not be recovering fresh postop patients.

Scrub Color: Navy - under shirts must be navy, white, or black. Scrub jackets are optional, must be navy.

Candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity within the past year. Candidates who were employed PRN through outside firms will be considered.
