Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required from last 3 months.

24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience is required from last 3 months.

BSN completion preferred

6 months of Trauma Level 1 facility is required from the last 3 years

References

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license

Vaccinations

Guaranteed Hours 36

4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, 2 out of 3 major holidays

Floating: Possibly to Med surg/Tele floors

Beds: 48 total - 10 epilepsy specialty rooms

Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Epilepsy, 24-48 Trend EEGs, Brain tumor, Subdural hematoma, scoliosis surgeries, TBI, Neuro dx.

Certs: Certified in Med Surg/Tele preferred.

Additional Notes: MedSurg/Tele RN with strong skills will be trained to assess crani nerves.

Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance, traveler has 2 attempts. if failed, RN will be DNU within CS AZ and Sac Region

All RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes, with the exception of NyICU & ED.

*Travel Teams must have their own vehicles
