Preferred Skills/Experience: 2 years of cardiac ICU experience
Teaching Hospital Experience
Skills: Accessing/Managing Ports, Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, Fresh tracheostomy, Pulmonary edema, Care of the patient on ECMO, ECMO, Impella, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Nurse driven ECMO protocols, Post Cardiac Surgery (directly from the OR), Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention, Sheath Removal, Transcatheter Aortic Valve implantation/Replacement (TAVI/TAVR), Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD), Chronic/Acute Renal failure, CVVHD/CRRT, Continuous IV paralytics/Neuromuscular blockade, Lumbar drains, Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac.
Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Shift & Scheduling: Day (07:00 - 19:30); Night (19:00 - 07:30)
Weekdays and some weekends. Rotating holidays.
Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4 week schedule period. Saturday/Sunday for dayshift, Friday/Saturday for nightshift
