Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

12 months of Infusion Center experience is required with some in the last 24 months.

BSN completion preferred

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:

VCU has a natural nail policy.

No time off requests during the first week of the contract.

Block Schedules: No

For the ONS Certification it can be the fundamental of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy administration or the ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification

Shift: Monday - Friday

The schedule is either 4/10s 0800-1830 or 5/8s 0800-1630.

Traveler must also work 3 late shifts in a 6 week scheduling period.

The regular shift would be 8-430, and the late shifts would be 1030-7pm, or when the last patient leaves.

Min one year of chemo experience required

They must have at least 1 year of experience as an Oncology Infusion nurse and be ONS chemo/bio certified.

RTO should be included at the time of submission (will be approved by unit manager on WOC

No guaranteed time off

No time off will be granted during the first of week of the traveler’s assignment

Candidates will float within scope if needed.

Facility will review all background hits, etc.

Return Staff Policy: Both travelers and permanent staff must be gone for one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
