Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required from any number of months.

12 months of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license

ACLS (Preferred)

Guaranteed Hours: 36

Common diagnosis / Types of patients: MedSurg/Tele- joint replacements, fractures, colon resections, COPD exacerbation, prostatectomy, cellulitis, sepsis, ortho trauma, GI bleeds, pneumonia, failure to thrive.

RNs are required to titrate drips -- Heparin, lidocaine, and ketamine. Common titratable &/or set rate drips: PCA pumps.

Shifts & Scheduling: Travelers will be scheduled. Will approve a limited amount of block scheduling

Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend

Holiday Requirements: 2-3 Holidays from Thanksgiving to New Years.

Floating Requirements: To other medical surgical areas or units with MedSurg patients waiting for a MedSurg bed

Scrub Color: RNs - Navy Blue

Number of shifts of unit/department specific orientation: 2 days

RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.

Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
