Travel Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Intensive Care Unit

Additional Details:

ICU RN with Cardiac EXP or CVICU RN

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Previous Employment Requirements: Any PERM or PRN employee of Memorial must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler

Required Skills/Experience: If there are ICU candidates with cardiac device experience- impella, balloon pump, TVP this would work as well **

• Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Skills/Experience: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Obtain 12 lead EKG. Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention skills/experience required. Chronic/Acute Renal failure experience required. Required IV therapy skills/experience: Accessing ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting IVs. Required Medication Experience: Continuous IV sedation, Emergency medications, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips. CVA/Acute Stroke management experience required. Required Respiratory/Thoracic Skills/Experience: Assist with management of BiPAP, Assist with management of CPAP, Care of Ventilated Patient, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs, Suctioning (ETT, NT), Ventilator Management. Required Professional Topics and Skills: Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Code blue/rapid response

Preferred Skills/Experience: CVICU nurse preferred.

Required Credentials: A legible copy of a valid/current US Driver’s license or US ID card

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: atient Diagnoses: Chest pain, chf, afib, nstemi, dysrhythmia, post cardiac interventions, ablations, cardiogenic shock, syncope, stroke, respiratory failure, pulmonary embolism, renal failure, gi bleed. Special Procedures/Unit Details: cardiac cath recovery, chest tube, intubation, code blue; temporary pacing, defibrillator, iabp, impella, iv pumps, pca, etco2, ventilator, telemetry

Unit/Facility Details: Parking Cost: parking permit required, no cost. Will fill out form during orientation -If assigned to cardiac ICU patients ratio would be 1:2 and up to 1:5 when on an IMC team. -Number of Beds: 20

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend REQ: Will work every other weekend. Is on-call REQ? No.
