Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Operating Room experience.

BSN completion preferred

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a District of Columbia license

BLS (Required)

ACLS (Preferred)

Vaccinations

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.

Previous Employment Requirements: Return Staff Policy If a nurse has held previous employment with Medstar, must be gone for a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler.

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Special Procedure: Total joints, Spine, Craniotomy, Free flaps, Cyto reduction, Bariatric, ENT/OMF.

Types of Patients on Unit: Adults, Geriatrics.

Special Requests: RTO must be on the submittal and cannot be changed once the profile has been sent to the manager for review. No RTO the first two weeks of an assignment.

Shift & Scheduling: 6 Calls per 6 week schedule. Weekend Requirement :1 weekend shift per 6 week schedule.

Floating Requirements: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.
