Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.
Orientation Hours: 12 Hours
Shifts & Scheduling: 6 week scheduling. Scheduling is done by unit schedulers.
Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend.
Holiday Requirements: Will rotate with perm staff.
Floating Requirements: Med/Surg and to all areas in the hospital, depending on abilities, including ICU/ED for appropriate types of patient care.
First week is classroom orientation, then 2- 12 hour shifts.
RTO needed upfront. Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults, generally patients that arrive through the ER, Mixed Medical/Surgical along with cardiac and stroke patients.
RNs are required to titrate drips.
Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated.
Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit: RNs must be able to read and interpret.
