Requirements
Experience
36 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
36 months of Operating Room experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.

Guaranteed 36 hours per week

With call; 17-20 Call shifts in an 8-week staff scheduling, call requirements may change based on census

Average no. of cases per day: Mondays and Wednesdays Wed mainly colonoscopies and endo- around 4 cases, Tuesday is GYN 3-4 cases, Thursday-no cases unless emergent, and Friday around 5 cases.

Common Cases: Choles, appys, hernia repairs, abdominal hysterectomies, hysteroscopies, D&C, colonoscopies, endoscopies, C- sections- typically not dealing with baby RT in every surgery L&D RN as backup but OR RN will become backup if RT is in ER

Preop and PACU experience preferred.

Scrubbing required - RN's: No but would be nice to have.

Assignments will be sent out the week prior. Everyone stays until patients are out of PACU. Shift ends at 1930 but if there are not cases the team is able to leave at 1630 and is expected to remain available to be called back in to fulfill their shift if needed.

17-20 Call shifts in an 8-week staff scheduling period. This will include 12-hour weeknight shifts and 24-hour weekend shifts.

What is call response time: 30 minutes

Floating Requirements: Preop and PACU, may be asked to task in other departments if there are no surgeries.

Scrub Color/Dress Code: Provided Surgical scrubs

Unit/Department specific orientation: 2 days of orientation in OR and some training in Preop/PACU if they have agreed to work there- will not get extensive training.

Can be difficult to find housing- no onsite housing is available but there are plenty of RV sites. Closes place with lots of housing is Boise.
