Experience

Preferred 12 months of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit experience.

Required Skills/Experience:

• 1+ year of NICU Experience in Level III or greater.

• IV therapy, Administration of blood & blood products, Arterial line management, Central line blood draw, Central Line/Implanted Line Care, Starting and maintaining IVs, UAC (Umbilical Artery Catheter), UVC (Umbilical Vein Catheter), Medications/Emergency Medications, Anti-Seizure Medications, Antibiotics/Antivirals, IV vasopressors, Neonatal Dosage Calculations, Developmental Care, Patient/family teaching, Phlebotomy, Thermoregulation, Assist with lumbar puncture, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, Seizure disorders, Therapeutic hypothermia (cooling blanket), Ventricular Peritoneal (VP) Shunts, Blood glucose monitoring, Insulin administration, Phototherapy, Breastfeeding Support/Handling of Breast Milk, Colostomy/Ileostomy care, Feedings (bottle, breast, gavage), Placement/Management of oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes, Post Abdominal Surgery, Bubble CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Management of Chest Tubes, Respiratory distress syndrome, Suctioning (ETT, NT), Vapotherm, Ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), Post cardiac surgery, Post interventional cardiac catheterization, Pre-Cardiac Surgery, Isolation Precautions, Sepsis Work Up, Level 1 Nursery, NICU II, NICU III, NICU IV, Pediatrics, PICU, Neonates < 24-28 weeks, Neonates > 34 weeks, Neonates 29-34 weeks.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Teaching Hospital Experience

• APGAR scoring, Intracranial Pressure Monitoring, Dysrhythmia Interpretation/Management.

Required Credentials: BLS / NRP / PALS: RQI and HeartCode Complete are acceptable.

Unit/Facility Details: Proof of Identification: Drivers License/State ID

Shift & Scheduling:

• Shift Times: Night (19:00 - 07:00) Day (07:00 - 19:00)

• Day / Night or Permanent Nights - 3-12hr shifts of 2-12 & 2-8.

• Every other weekend or every weekend.

• Pre-Approved Time Off: 1 Request

Floating Requirements: Will float to PICU / Med Surg.
