Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Travel experience is required from any number of months.

Must have at least 24 months of Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit experience.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license

Required certifications and licensure cannot expire within 30 days of the potential start date to apply.

Required Skills/Experience: In need of nurses that can recover open heart surgery patients.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching Facility experience

Types of Patients on Unit: All open-heart patients, thoracic cases including VATS, Ecmo, Impella, LVAD, IABP, CRRT, MIs, and CHF Vital signs machine, glucometer, SCDs, bladder scanner, vein finder, remote tele capable, wound vacs, IV pumps, pulse oximeters, chest tubes, tube feeding pumps (Kangaroo), and oxygen delivery devices.

Shift & Scheduling: Start dates Occur every Other Monday 10/22 & 11/3 starts.
