Travel Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit

Shift & Scheduling:

Will work 4 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule

Every other weekend and holiday agreement

Required Credentials:

Dysrhythmia exam required - study guide available in Simplify library

Certification: RN-BC Registered Nurse - Board Certified (preferred)

Unit Details:

CVICU/CVU Post Cath Lab (critical care) and open heart

18 bed unit

Support Staff --- Monitor tech, charge nurse

Required Skills/Experience:

Minimum 2 years of critical care experience

1 year of RN experience (required)

Preferred Skills/Experience:

6 months RN experience in a Med/Surg, Critical Care, Stepdown, or Emergency Department Unit (preferred)

Critical Care Course (preferred)

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit:

Drips ---- Hemodynamic gtts, inotropes, sedation, paralytics, and any other critical care drips may be used

Equipment Used on Unit:

Lines/Drains/ Specific devices used ---- Alines, Swan, Central lines, Vascaths, chest tubes, Intra aortic balloon pumps, impellas (Device experience is not required)

Oxygen ---- ranging from room air to vents

Types of Patients on Unit:

Patient population ---- CVICU post Cath lab (critical care) and open heart
