Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

24 months of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience is required from last 12 months.

3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license

Additional Details:

Recent experience at a teaching facility and recent travel experience preferred.

Parking Paid parking options available on site. MetroRail transportation available if preferred.

TCH requires any clinician that is or were perm staff to wait 6 months before applying for a traveler position. Please note this timeline may vary slightly because this timeline is based on the units discretion.

The PICU/CICU is a 18-bed blended intensive care unit providing care to patients and their families’ 24-hours a day and 7 days a week. The PICU/CICU provides immediate and continuous care for critically ill medical/surgical patients, level 2 trauma, and patients following repair of their congenital heart defects and other complications related to congenital heart disease.

This unit accepts patients from newborn to adulthood. PICU/CICU also cares for pediatric patients with multi organ failure providing extracorporeal membrane oxygenation support.
