Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit experience within the past 4 years.

Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a California license

Type of Specialty: CVICU within a mixed medical-surgical unit.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend F-S-Su. Holiday and on call are required.

Floating Requirements: First to float.

Required Skills/Experience: Recent & proficiency in immediate post-op cardiac surgery recovery.

Preferred Skills/Experience: IABP, CRRT, ECMO

Unit Details: # beds/rooms: 16

Types of Patients on Unit: Average # of patients/day: 1 cardiac surgery patient, 12 additional general med-surg ICU patients

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Mitral/aortic/tricuspid valve replacements, CABG, AAA repair

Assessments/Exams: Candidate will take a proctored CVICU exam.
