Cook is a Mandatory Float Facility, all resources are required to float at the facilities discretion
Guaranteed Hours: 40
Special Requirements: Infusion center/Inpatient oncology/Outpatient oncology experience required.
Dress Code: Scrubs - Navy Blue
Parking: Juvenile Temporary Detention Center (JTDC). A shuttle runs every 15 minutes between Stroger and JTDC
Orientation: 40 Hours

Special Procedures: Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Administration
Block Scheduling: Cook does not approve block schedules or special requests. All time off must comply with the RTO policy.
Floating: Cook has the ability to request that any clinician float outside of their “home” facility as long as the floating does not exceed 50 miles.
Travelers may receive notification to float 2 hours before their shift.
There are no home units. Your clinician could be floated to a variety of units, including outside of their primary area of competency.
If they are floated outside of their primary competency, the team-based model will be used.
