Required Skills/Experience: Would like someone with broad experience in all cases. Common Cases: Pediatric (all specialities and trauma) and adults. General, DaVinci, Neuro-spines and cranis, Peds-scoliosis; Ortho-total joints, ortho trauma, some sports medicine, spica casts for peds, Urology-complicated cases, Davinci, kidney and prostate cases, cystos; Oncology (have an Oncology center attached to hospital); ENT, GYN-all cases including c-sections for accreta- L&D will do simple sections; Bariatrics- robotic or lap roux en y, sleeves, gastric bypass.
Required Credentials: Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
Shift & Scheduling: Variable day off; Minimum of four hours of call per week, possible weekend/holidays. 30 minutes call response time.
Floating Requirements: Rarely float but would only to be to nearby surgery centers or possibly to Meridian or Nampa in OR. If experienced with CVOR (robotic thoracic) may float here if there is a need.
Other Requirements: References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
