Travel Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit

Required Skills/Experience:

• Community Hospital Experience Required.
• Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed per unit.
• Skills REQ: Work Settings: MS/Tele, Telemetry Oncology, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, ER Holding, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown. Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams. Cardiovascular: Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath. Gastrointestinal: Feeding tube care and management. Genitourinary/Renal: Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure. IV therapy/Phlebotomy: Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs. MEDICATIONS: Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration, PCA. Neurological/Psychiatric: CVA. Plastics: Surgical drains. Respiratory: Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs, Nasal Cannula, Oxygen face masks, Non-invasive airway management, Tracheostomy Management. Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac.
• Special Requirements: AMI, Cardiac Arrythmia, Heart Failure, Chest Pain, Vascular / PVD, Intermediate level of care, Sepsis / infection, Pneumonia, ETOH withdrawal, SI, GI bleed, Pre / Post Cath patients, Femoral line / groin site management.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Previous Charge Experience Preferred.
• Skills Preferred: Cardiovascular: Sheath Removal. IV therapy/Phlebotomy: Accessing Ports, Phlebotomy. Orthopedics: Total Joint Replacements.

Required Credentials: Roles requiring state licensure only: Floating roles must have MO license and is in the process of applying for KS license (+ vice-versa) or must have a compact licensure to apply.

Unit and facility details: Saint Luke’s is a Nicotine free (this includes patches, gum, vape, etc.) Health System – all travelers will be tested upon hire. If found with nicotine in your system, you will be canceled and may be ineligible for re-hire.

• No travel partners accepted.
• If requesting 7 days of RTO, the expectation is that the missed time is made up.

Shift & Scheduling: 8 weekend shifts in Saint Luke’s 6-week schedule period, combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday.

Floating Requirements: Float to MSI Units. Regular floating may be required between departments, units and facilities as needed.
