Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

3 months of travel experience is required from last 18 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 charge/lead references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license

BLS (Required)

Vaccinations

Flu vaccination required. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills / Experience: 24 months minimum of experience in Med Surg / Med Surg Tele

Proficiency caring for all Patient Types -- variety of med surg patients

Experience with Heparin

Preferred Skills / Experience: Skills in telemetry/cardiac background

Unit / Facility Details: RN will train on 3E unit which is med surg post op surgical care before switching to 5E

Special Requests: Quickly interviewing viable candidates: Phone call/text from a 405 area code

Must be open, and willing to extend past the initial 13 week assignment

May assume charge role, as needed, including precepting new team members as needed

Shift & Scheduling: Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Weekend Requirements: As scheduled

No Call

Floating Requirement: May be required to float to all campuses including Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran Hospital & Methodist West Hospital within pertinent skillset/Unit they are contracted for
