Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 22 months of Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool experience.
Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred from any number of months
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
License
Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license
Certifications
PALS (Required)
BLS (Required)
Vaccinations
Flu vaccination required. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching Hospital Experience: Preferred

Required Skills/Experience: Cardio Help experience required

Floating Requirements: Float to NICU, PICU, CVPICU

Shift & Scheduling: Every 3rd weekend required

Types of Patients on Unit: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Pump specialist for patients on ECMO for either cardiac or non-cardiac reasons. Patients can either be on VA ECMO or VV ECMO and specialist would need to know how to manage both. If there are no ECMO patients the specialist will work in the ICU's as a bedside nurse taking care of cardiac, non-cardiac, or NICU patients based on need of the units. -Special Procedures/Unit Details: ECMO department is a separate team that specializes in managing the ECMO pumps. The team members when not managing the pump staff as nurses in the ICU departments. We currently have three ICU's a CCU, PICU, and a NICU.
