Travel Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: -Note: This is an ED HOLD unit - RN's need to be aware of the unit type, Not a PCU unit. RN will have MS and PCU type patients in ED boarding area -Note: Must have completed 3-4 travel assignments -RN must have PCU exp. -Required Skills: IV therapy/Phlebotomy (Blood products, Peripheral lines, IV starts), MS/Tele, ER Holding, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown settings, Heparin Protocols, Titrating Cardiac drips, Dysrhythmia interpretation/management, Rapid Response/Code teams, Isolation Precautions, IV Insulin Protocols/Titration. -Endocrine/Metabolic -Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response -CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident) -Neurological/Psychiatric -Nasal Cannula -Oxygen administration -Oxygen tanks

Preferred Skills/Experience: -Preferred Skills: Accessing/Managing Ports, Central/PICC line management, Care of Ventilated Patient, Telemetry monitoring, Managing/Titrating Vasoactive drips, PCA.

Required Credentials: -Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Unit/Facility Details: *** This is a Boarding unit - pts come from ED and boarded until d/c or moved to inpatient unit. Pt's are stable and moved out if becomes unstable.

Shift & Scheduling: -Shift: 3x12s or 4x12s -Every other Weekend

Floating Requirements: **This is a float position and can be floated to an inpatient PCU unit. -Note: You may be asked to float to a MedSurg/PCU Unit

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
