Travel Pairs: If you are in a relationship, EMMC will not schedule you on the same days. If you are not in a relationship, you can be scheduled for the same days if not on the same shift/unit. Managers will not guarantee the same schedule for travel pairs.
Guaranteed Hours: 36.
Patient Types: Medical, Surgical, Trauma, Neuro, Ortho, Interventional patients ICP monitoring, External Ventricular drain (EVD), spinal precautions, DKA, Multi system trauma patients, Sepsis, ARDS, COVID, PNA, COPD, Stroke.
Patient Ratios: 1:2 – based on acuity (may get 3rd patient as one is being discharged or moved to the floor).
Skills required: Neuro and Trauma experience are an absolute must – EVD & ICP monitoring Ventilator management, critical care drips, drain management, stroke experience, hemodynamic lines (A-lines/CVP), cardiac rhythm recognition, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, strong assessment skills.
Charting System/Equipment: Cerner (preferred experience) Alaris Pyxis
Floating: To the Cardiac Care Unit (ICU) – will take patients within scope. Cardiac Stepdown or Medical Stepdown. PICU if they have Peds experience.
Orientation: General Hospital orientation, followed by 1 shift on unit.
Scheduling: Weekend rotation: Every other (Dayshift: Sat/Sun; Nightshift: Fri/Sat).
Holiday Expectations: Varies, based on need – all holiday requests should be sent to manager for approval.
Approval of time off? To go through manager.
Scrub Color: Any solid color, must be professional.
