Required Skills/Experience Bed Side Shift Reporting (BSSR), utilization of AIDET, and hourly rounding are required for this unit and all RN units.

Stroke knowledge is a must. High acuity mix of patients so need a strong ICU background.

Willing to accept 1 year if they have good experience - ICU experience is a must (high acuity mix patients)

Required Credentials: BSSR Attestation Certificate required

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Simple and complex dysrhythmia interpretation and intervention

Hemodynamic stability monitoring and intervention

Airway maintenance/oxygenation/ventilatory support needs

Types of Patients on Unit: Adults, Geriatrics

Patient Diagnoses: Myocardial infarction Acute coronary syndrome Cardiomyopathy Congestive heart failure Dysrhythmias Pulmonary Emboli Deep Vein Thrombosis

Unit/Facility Details: Number of Beds:16, Daily Census: 11

Communication with AIDET, great customer service and phone etiquette is an expectation

Special Requests: If multiple holidays occur during assignment, facility will only accept 1 holiday RTO request

Shift & Scheduling: 0700-1930, 1900-0730

On-call only needed for low censusing

EOW & EOH

Floating Requirements: Float to Med/Surg or SICU as needed

Staff are expected to float out of the unit first as a patient observer. This could end up being a majority of your shifts.
