Previous Employment Requirements: Any Perm or PRN employee of Memorial must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler

Required Skills/Experience: Will work with all service lines except CV. General OR .

• Required Bariatric Case Experience: Laparoscopic assisted cases.

• Required General Surgery Case Experience: Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon resection, Hernia repair inguinal/umbilical, Laparoscopic assisted procedures, Mastectomy, Thyroidectomy partial/total, Whipple.

• Required Neurology Case Skills/Experience: Cervical fusion, Craniotomy, Laminectomy/discectomy, Lumbar fusion.

• Required Orthopedic Case Skills/Experience: Arthroscopy, Carpal Tunnel release, Closed reduction of fractures, Open reduction of fractures.

• Required Plastic Surgery Case Skills/Experience: Free Flap - Microvascular.

• Required Transplant Skills/Experience: Organ donation.

• Required Urology Case Skills/Experience: Cystoscopy, Nephrectomy, Prostatectomy.

• Required Trauma Case Skills/Experience: Amputations, Gunshot/stab wounds, MVA (multiple injuries).

• Required Emergency management Skills/Experience: Code response, Fire safety, Latex Allergy, Malignant Hyperthermia.

• Required Equipment/Instrumentation/Supplies Experience: Electrosurgical units, Fiber optic light sources/cords, Hana tables.

• Required Professional Knowledge and Skills: Administration of blood products, Infection control, Radiation Safety, Specimen Handling/labeling, Universal Protocol (Time out) Procedure, Urinary bladder catheterization.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching Hospital Experience

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: All service lines except CV.

Types of Patients on Unit: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

Unit/Facility Details:

-Total Staffed Beds: 562 beds

-Parking Cost: parking permit required, no cost. Will fill out form during orientation.

-References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

-ID: US Driver’s license or US ID card

Special Requests: No block scheduling

Shift & Scheduling: Varied Evenings 10:45-21:15 and 14:45-23:15, depending on schedule needs, 1 weekend required per month. on-call is 1 week though it's no usually that often anymore.

Floating Requirements: Floating is 100% required of all travelers - Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital/s near by
