Travel Nurse (RN) - Oncology Unit

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Shift: 4x12 or 3x12

Weekend Requirement: Will work every other weekend.

On Call: No

Floating is 100% required of all travelers - Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital/s near by

Block schedule: Discuss schedule requests with manager.

Special Requirements:

-Required Chemotherapy Skills/Experience: Administration of chemotherapy, Body fluid handling post Chemotherapy, Continuous Infusion of chemotherapy, IV push administration of chemotherapy, Management/disposal cytotoxic spills, Monitor chemotherapy, Oral Administration of chemotherapy, Recognize/ communicate abnormal lab values.

-Required IV Therapy/Infusion Skills/Experience: Accessing Ports, Administration of coagulation factors, Antifungals, Antivirals, Blood/Blood product administration, Care and management of ports, Central line blood draw, Central Line/Implanted Line Care, PICC line care, Starting IVs.

Level I trauma center. Magnet hospital/facility.

Scrub Color: Any solid color.

Parking Cost: Parking permit required, no cost. Will fill out form during orientation.

RTO – we can auto-approve 5 days of non holiday RTO or less. Anything more requires facility approval.

Candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.

Background Policy to be noted prior to submission so we can seek approval prior to offer.

Any Perm or PRN employee of Memorial must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler.
