Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

BSN completion preferred

Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license

Required Skills: IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Work Settings, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Neurological/Psychiatric, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Gastrointestinal, Feeding tube care and management, Medications, Heparin Protocols, PCA, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Professional Topics and Skills, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac, Endocrine/Metabolic, Respiratory, Nasal Cannula, Oxygen administration, Oxygen tanks, Tracheostomy care/management, Genitourinary/Renal, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure

Preferred Skills / Experience: Previous Charge Experience

Preferred Skills: Cardiac Telemetry, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, Telemetry - remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, IV insulin protocols

Required Credentials: Candidate must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.

Unit / Facility Details: Proof of Identification: Drivers License/State ID

Special Requests: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Shift & Scheduling: Open to an 8-week contract

Day / Night Rotating - 0700-1930 & 1900-0730

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Pre-Approved Time Off: 1 Request
