Requirements

Experience

9 months of acute care experience within the past 12 months.

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 12 months of Progressive Care Unit experience with 9 months within the past 12 months.

3 months of experience with Meditech is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Louisiana license or compact license

Certifications

BLS (Required)

ACLS (Required)

NIHSS (Required)

TNCC (Preferred)

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Nursing staff will float to other Medical-Surgical Units in the hospital as needed with priority focus on pulling to Intensive Care Units.

Must be willing to care for COVID-19 patients

Have ICU experience

Advanced skills needed: Ventilator management, critical care drip knowledge, thorough and accurate assessment skills, and proficient knowledge with cardiac, neuro, and respiratory systems.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend.

Holiday requirements

Floating Requirements: Nursing staff will float to other Medical-Surgical Units in the hospital as needed with priority focus on pulling to Intensive Care Units.
