Additional Details:
D/N Rotation – Variable Starts of 0700, 0800, 0900, 1000, 1100, and 1900.
Recent experience at a level 1 trauma center is required.
No block scheduling.
On Call: No
Guarantee hour: No
Ventricular/ICP Monitoring: Yes, to ventricular drains. No to ICP monitoring in PACU. Goes directly to ICU if need ICP.
Art lines/Central Lines/must be familiar with vasoactive and sedative drips/chest tube tubes/trachs.
High acuity high volume PACU/controlled chaos in evenings
PACU Overnight boarders regularly include the following ICU craniotomies, step down, or med surg patients.
Preferred previous ICU and/or high acuity PACU experience.
We care for patients whom have had all different types of surgeries with the most frequent being although not limited to: Vascular (carotids/AAA repairs), General, Thoracic (esophagectomy), Gynecology, Neuro (craniotomy for tumor/neurostimulators/mod radical neck with trach), Orthopedic, kidney transplants, and whipples.
