Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Emergency Department experience.
Trauma Level 2 experience is required from any number of months
Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:

Previous Employment Requirements: Travelers who are new to the facility or return travelers who have been gone for 1+ years will have 24 hours of classroom time and 24 hours on the unit

Required Skills/Experience: At least 2 years of critical care experience (ICU or ER) with the most recent year in a Level II ER, Trach care, vent care, ICU drip care and maintenance, chest tube, art line, CVL, picc, midline, port, foley, splint/Ortho device application and care, bipap/hiflow, continuous bladder irrigation, First-time traveler: Yes, with at least 2 years’ experience

Types of Patients on Unit: Multi System Trauma (level II), STEMI, STROKE, CHF, COPD, GI, GU, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Psychiatric

Equipment Used on Unit: IV pumps: Plum 360

Unit/Facility Details: Number of Beds: 71 (very high acuity Level II, functions as a Level I), Parking: Parking Garage

No RTO will be approved during the following dates: Halloween Weekend: 10/30 - 11/3 Thanksgiving: 11/26 - 11/30 Christmas / New Year’s: 12/21 - 1/1

Shift & Scheduling: 36 or 48 hours available; Weekend rotation: Every other or 4 weekend days per month if on block schedule, Holiday Expectations: One major and one minor seasonal holiday per policy, Holiday Expectations: This does not mean they will automatically be scheduled for those dates, but we will not contractually guarantee to being off prior to arrival. Shift times 7a-7p, 7p-7a, 11a-11p, 3p-3a
