Previous Employment Requirements: Travelers who are new to the facility or return travelers who have been gone for 1+ years will have 24 hours of classroom time and 24 hours on the unit
Required Skills/Experience: At least 2 years of critical care experience (ICU or ER) with the most recent year in a Level II ER, Trach care, vent care, ICU drip care and maintenance, chest tube, art line, CVL, picc, midline, port, foley, splint/Ortho device application and care, bipap/hiflow, continuous bladder irrigation, First-time traveler: Yes, with at least 2 years’ experience
Types of Patients on Unit: Multi System Trauma (level II), STEMI, STROKE, CHF, COPD, GI, GU, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Psychiatric
Equipment Used on Unit: IV pumps: Plum 360
Unit/Facility Details: Number of Beds: 71 (very high acuity Level II, functions as a Level I), Parking: Parking Garage
No RTO will be approved during the following dates: Halloween Weekend: 10/30 - 11/3 Thanksgiving: 11/26 - 11/30 Christmas / New Year’s: 12/21 - 1/1
Shift & Scheduling: 36 or 48 hours available; Weekend rotation: Every other or 4 weekend days per month if on block schedule, Holiday Expectations: One major and one minor seasonal holiday per policy, Holiday Expectations: This does not mean they will automatically be scheduled for those dates, but we will not contractually guarantee to being off prior to arrival.
