Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Emergency Department experience with 6 months within the past 12 months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Maine license or compact license

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Non Trauma Emergency Department, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Ventilated patientsTriage

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Wide range of patients from Pediatrics to Geriatrics. Most of the area is economically depressed. We are a level 2 trauma center, Chest pain center, primary stroke center.

Types of Patients on Unit: Pediatrics to Geriatrics

Equipment Used on Unit: US, bladder scanner, neuro tele computer, Care Aware hand held devices

Unit/Facility Details: Level 2 trauma center with 4 Critical care bays. Teleneurology for stroke in cooperation with Mass General Hospital No PICU - transfer out

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Hours: No guarantee for weekends off. However we work really hard for a fair schedule Call Requirements: None

Floating Requirements: Travelers required to float to ed holding
