Requirements
Experience
18 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Travel experience is required from any number of months.
Must have at least 36 months of Emergency Department experience.
Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from any number of months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from any number of months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Illinois license

  • General Emergency Department-Combined Adult/Pedi experience, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, Obtain 12 lead EKG, IV therapy/Phlebotomy Skills/Experience, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Starting IVs, Medication Skills/Experience, Continuous IV sedation, Emergency Medications, IV vasopressors, Procedural Sedation Administration, Neurological Case Skills/Experience, CVA, Pediatric Case Skills/Experience, Abdominal Pain, Asthma, Identifying and reporting abuse, Infections, Mental/behavioral health conditions, Respiratory infections, Seizures, Urinary tract infections, Psychiatric Case Skills/Experience, Acute psychosis, Drug overdose, Managing violent behavior, Suicidal patient, Respiratory Case Skills/Experience, Chest tube insertion/management, Ventilated patients, Isolation Precautions, Triage, Community Hospital Experience.
  • Pediatrics, Starting and maintaining IVs, IV vasopressors, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Shock/Trauma, Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Previous Charge Experience.
  • Burns, Epiglottitis, Head injury, Hyperglycemia, Poison ingestion, Sickle cell crisis, Skin Disorders, Spinal cord injury, Phlebotomy, CPAP/BiPAP, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Intubation, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury, Gunshot wounds, Traumatic amputation, Manage / apply splints, Ortho trauma.

Shift & Scheduling: Will work every other weekend.

Floating Requirements: Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital/s near by.
