Travel Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit

Required Skills/Experience: ICU experience

Preferred Skills/Experience: CVICU experience

Required Credentials:

• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance, traveler has 2 attempts.

• Pass fail exam on day 1 of orientation - details to follow

• All RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes, with the exception of NyICU & ED. NyICU only has to do Foley catheter insertion. ED does Foley catheter insertion but does port-a-cath insertion instead of central line dressing change. This is for travelers going to St. Joseph main campus &/or St. Joseph Westgate campus.

• Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.

• Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.

• References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

Special Requests: Travel Teams must have their own vehicles

Shift & Scheduling:

• Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts in 4 week schedule.

• Holidays: Work into rotation.

Floating Requirements: Float to other ICUs and all Tele units. patient ratio of 1/4 on tele. Travelers will float 1st before perm staff. Also required to float to Westgate if asked.
