Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, if very experienced in Coronary, Structural heart, complex PCI and peripheral cases
Will you accept a traveler with 1-year experience? No, 2 years minimum with coronary, structural heart, complex PCI and peripheral experience
Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler
Patient Types: Coronary artery disease, STEMI, cardiogenic shock, complex total occlusions, diagnostic Cath procedures, valvular disease, renal disease, carotid stenosis, limb salvage, peripheral stenosis, thrombosis disease, Impella insertion, LVAD insertions, etc.
Required Education: RN: Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing
Skills required: Critical patient assessment skills, Vasoactive and Sedation drug administration, sterile technique, air management, Laser and Lithotripsy Atherectomy, Cardiac Cath lab and Peripheral IV skills Devices: IABP, Impella, Rotoblator, Penumbra
Scheduling: Weekend rotation: Q4 weekends
Will they be on call? Yes, 1-2 days per week from 1630-0600 and every 4th weekend from 1630 Friday to 0600 Monday am
Holiday Expectations: possibly 1 per assignment
