Guaranteed Hours 36

Shift: Varying start times: 3p, 5p, 7p; Min 4 weekend shifts per sched and must work 2 of 3 holidays

Floating: Float between Gilbert and Chandler ER (7 miles/15 minutes apart), possibly mid-shifts - first to float

Beds: 60 beds; 14 are fast track. Bedside Triage.

Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Trauma, MVAs, GSW, blunt trauma, piercing trauma, CVA (Stroke center), MI (CP center), high risk OB (have a separate entrance, Psych holds (4-6 per day) until transferred out, cardioversions, conscious sedation for closed fractures. 11% Peds population,. Only admit 15 or > any younger than 15 are stabilized and transferred.

*2 years minimum ER/Trauma level 1 experience required - must be recent within the past year

Certs: ATCN or TNCC, PALS or ENPC required. Moderate conscious sedation competency testing.

***Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving offer, through UNA, only (with 2 MAX attempts).

PASS/FAIL Sim Lab on day 1 of orientation. If they fail, they will be made a DNU for 6 months.
