Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Travel experience is required from any number of months.
Must have at least 24 months of Emergency Department experience.
12 months of Trauma Level 1 facility is required from the last 3 years
Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.
References

Required Skills/Experience: Level I Experience as Perm Staff and Traveler

Required Credentials:

• Candidate is required to pass DYS exam prior to accepting. 2 attempts, if failed, DNU for 6 months with CS AZ and Sac Region.

• ENPC not allowed to replace PALS Cert.

• Men must clean shave for fit test.

• Day 1 Pass Fail Exam: Study guide provided with FDI.

• SIMs Lab: All RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes, with the exception of NyICU & ED. NyICU only has to do Foley catheter insertion. ED does Foley catheter insertion but does port-a-cath insertion instead of central line dressing change. This is for travelers going to St. Joseph main campus &/or St. Joseph Westgate campus.

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Trauma, Burns and Peds transferred out. CP Center, Spinal Cord TBIN certification.

Unit/Facility Details: Number of beds: Acute - 36 and Subacute - 54. Trauma bays - 6 (no travelers)

Special Requests:

• An interview may not be available prior to offer.

• Travel Teams must have their own vehicles.

• No block scheduling.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Requirement: 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks

Floating Requirements:

• Can be float between St. Joseph's Main, St. Joseph's Westgate, and the 2 Free Standing ERs in Litchfield Park & Glendale. (4 facilities total); about 30 mins apart, can be floated midshift.

• ER float positions will require floating between different ER satellite locations in the area. A home base facility will try to be established, however this may not be the facility the clinician is regularly at. A schedule will be made in advance, so clinicians is aware of what location they'll be reporting to.

• Float within ER.

Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months.
