Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 12 months of Psychiatric Unit experience within the past 12 months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license

Additional Details:

Psych evaluation Services (PES) located in the ED

Shift & Scheduling: Weekends: Every other. Holiday: as needed. On call: N/A

Required Skills/Experience: 2 year experience in psych ED. Nurses require solid crisis prevention management and proactive symptom assessment/management skills to effective in this role.

Types of Patients on Unit: Patient Population: The PES is a 10-bay unit for acutely ill patients with psychiatric and substance use disorders awaiting placement for stabilization at a voluntary/involuntary inpatient hospital unit or appropriate treatment facility.
