Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Travel experience is required from any number of months.

Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience within the past 12 months.

ADN completion required

Trauma Level 2 experience is required from any number of months

Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license

Types of Patients on Unit: Post Surgical Care Unit post recovery after Pacu. 40 bed inpatient area that provides care along a continuum for pre and post-surgical adults and geriatric patients.

Unit Details: Fast paced post-surgical unit that averages 10-15 admissions per day with the highest occurring on Day/PM. Occupancy of unit is90-95 % during the week with average length of stay 2 – 3 days (except joints).

Equipment Used on Unit: Rovers for medication scanning, Alaris pumps

Nurse to pt ratio: day/pm 1:4 or 5, nights 1:5- 7

Floating Requirements: To all inpatient units; would be given appropriate patient assignments .
