ED/ICU/MedSurg
Guaranteed Hour: 36
Accept a first-time traveler Only with 2+ years of experience
Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler with eligibility to return and/ or internal reference check
Patient Types: All ages – traveler will be utilized in all care areas to include ED, ICU and MedSurg, Sepsis, DKA, ETOH, ARDS, MI, Trauma, Stroke
Patient Ratios: ED: 1:3-4 ICU: 1:1-2 (dependent on acuity/age) Med Surg: 1:5 (dependent on acuity/age)
Required Education: Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing.
Skills required: General ED experience, critical care experience for ICU holds, Trauma experience,
Floating: if trained in all then may be floated to ER, MS, &/or ICU
Orientation: (facility and unit) 2 days
Weekend rotation: Every other
No call
Holiday Expectations: Every other
No RTO during the Sturgis Bike Rally – first 3 weeks in August each year
