Travel Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit

Required Skills/Experience: 2 years of PCU/Medsurg experience required

Needs specific Neuro experience

IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Central line care/management, Peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, Neurological/Psychiatric care including aneurysms and repair, craniotomy, CVA, lumbar drains, pre/post neurosurgery, seizure disorders, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, Respiratory care including nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, Gastrointestinal care, Isolation precautions, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Telemetry (on-unit monitoring), EVD monitoring (HARD STOP), NIHSS (HARD STOP – screen and call out)

Preferred Skills/Experience: PCU preferred--will take MS RN

Teaching Hospital Experience

Accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, blood product administration, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, intracranial bleeds, external CPAP/BIPAP, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), oxygen tanks, tracheostomy care/management, feeding tube care/management, heparin protocols, managing cardiac drips (no titration), PCA, titrating cardiac drips, IV insulin protocols, titration of insulin drips

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Some Neuro/Stepdown/PCU required in work history

Special Requests: RTO required with submission, must be built into contract

Shift & Scheduling: Rotating weeknights and weekends. Rotating holidays.

Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4 week schedule period.

Saturday/Sunday for dayshift, Friday/Saturday for nightshift

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
