Must have at least 9 months of same unit experience in the past 12 months, no exceptions.

Same Day Surgery

Required Skills/Experience:

Worked in SDS department

Worked in Surgery Department and are familiar with starting IV’s and other things like obtaining vitals, shaving, obtaining consent, brief health history, medication and all other items related to preparing someone for surgery

Worked in Post-Surgery care department by providing discharge instructions related to the surgical process.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

IV start skills

Surgery related experience from a pre-operative and post-operative standpoint

Shift & Scheduling: No On Call, No weekend Requirements

Equipment Used on Unit: standard hospital equipment
