Preferred Credentials: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Associates or Bachelor's Degree

Unit Details:

• Cares for pediatric through geriatric surgical patients.
• Perioperative role includes surgical patient care across the continuum of care, with knowledge of conditions/diagnoses, procedures, equipment, and anesthesia types encountered for surgical patients.
• Includes pre-operative and postoperative assessment and patient/family education.
• PAT RN duties include supporting timely completion of patient testing and evaluating pre-admission testing orders for appropriateness and potential omissions based on the proposed surgery, patient age, and current health status.

• No call.
