Additional Details:

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 2 year experience in a similar CAH setting.
  • Must do EKGs and be able to assist with intubations and ABGs.
  • Must have NICU and delivery experience, as well as adult experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Pediatric/neonatal experience preferred; it does not need to be extensive.

Special Requests:

  • Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
  • If previously employed at the facility, any exception requires approval by St. Luke's Health System.

Unit Details:

  • Uses Epic.
  • Traveler may be the only RT in-house on shift.
  • Typically 4-6 patient interactions per shift.
  • Patient population ranges from NICU to geriatrics and includes ER, Med-Surg, ski traumas, and cycling accidents.
  • No ICU; stabilizes and ships patients as needed.
  • Covers the hospital ER and Med-Surg areas, plus outpatient clinic responsibilities including pediatric nasal suction, Holter monitors, and EKGs.
  • Duties include drawing and analyzing ABGs, recommending care, breathing treatments, BiPAP, CPAP, ventilator management for transfers, EKGs, and assisting with intubations.
  • Performs neonatal RT interventions and uses LMAs.
  • Equipment includes Drager vents and a Hamilton transport vent.
  • In-house manager support is available Monday-Friday during the day, with after-hours phone support and sister-hospital charge RT resources available.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • Self-scheduling as able through the central scheduler.
  • Every other weekend, sometimes less.
  • Will work holidays if there is a need during their schedule.
  • Call or standby call is not anticipated.

Floating Requirements:

  • Floating within the hospital, including outpatient/clinics.
