Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years current Emergency Room experience.
  • Charge experience required.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Critical Access Hospital experience

Special Requests:

  • No local candidates; permanent address must be 50+ miles from facility.

Unit Details:

  • Charge RN position in a Critical Access Hospital setting.
  • This role is approximately 60% ED and 40% critical access charge, serving as backup to Med/Surg and the ED.
  • Stabilizes, treats, and discharges patients when possible; emergent cases requiring unavailable services are stabilized and transferred.
  • Works closely with local ambulance services, with DHART and LifeFlight of Maine helicopter trauma transfer support.
  • TeleEmergency, telepsych, and teleneonatal support are available in the ED.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • Every other weekend.
  • No call.

Floating Requirements:

  • Requires floating to Med/Surg and Stepdown.
  • Must be willing to take Stepdown patients and help with Med/Surg patients.
