Travel Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

Required Skills/Experience:
Able to scrub and circulate.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Critical care experience preferred.

Special Requests:
All RTO must be approved by the manager.

Unit Details:
The OR handles outpatient, inpatient, and trauma cases.
Cases include gunshot wounds, stabbings, kidney and heart transplants, donor cases, general, gynecologic, urologic, robotic, vascular, orthopedic, neurologic, and open-heart/CABG cases.
The OR handles approximately 60-75 cases per day.
The hybrid room handles approximately 5-10 cases per day, depending on scheduled cases, including TAVR, AAA, endarterectomies, angiograms, and fistula revisions; hybrid room patients are adults only.
Approximately 20% of cases are pediatric, including open-heart, appendectomy, and cholecystectomy cases.
The OR does not handle liver or lung transplant cases.
The OR participates in Gifts of Hope cases.
Uses Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing.

Shift & Scheduling:
Will work 1 full weekend (Saturday/Sunday) every 4th week.
Holiday coverage requires 1 winter holiday and 1 summer holiday.
On-call requirement: 3 call shifts in a 6-week period, including 2 weekend shifts.
On-call shifts require a 30-minute response time; a sleeping room is available for the on-call team member.
A 6-week schedule will be provided 2-4 weeks ahead.
Schedules are rotation-based; self-scheduling is not available, and clinicians are assigned where needed based on the rotation.
